Friends of Richter Park, Inc. was established by the Richter Park Authority for the purpose of raising funds for the implementation of the Richter Park Master Plan. The organization was accepted for incorporation in the State of Connecticut in September 2009. An application for 501(c)(3) recognition by the Internal Revenue Service was approved in April 2010. The by-laws of the corporation call for the establishment of a Board of Directors, fifteen (15) in number consisting of two (2) members of the Richter Park Authority and thirteen (13) from the local community.
